Brandon Van Parys

Beloved Son, American Hero
Brandon gave his life, bravely serving his country in Iraq, at the age of 20.

"Whaahh! Whaaaahhhh!"
GOD gave me a wonderful blessing today,
Soft and snugly in his fuzzy blue blanket.
GOD, Thank you for my Brandon. I need You more than ever.

"Mama - Mama"
Did you hear that? He said Mama!
Thank you Lord, for those precious, sweet words.

"Mommy, I got a boo boo!"
Few tears shed, band aid and kiss, out to play again.
Thank you Lord, it wasn't a trip to the emergency room.

"Mom, I was playing with the Nintendo first!"
Big brother, wrestling, teasing, bickering, laughing.
Lord, Please give me patience.

"Mom, What happened today?"
September 11, 2001. The world is changing and so is he.
Lord, Please give me grace.

"Mom, Can I have the car keys?"
New found freedoms and responsibilities, he's grabbed the wheel and is going.
Lord, Please keep him safe.

"Mom, It's good to see you again!"
Is that handsome, tall Marine my Brandon?
Thank you Lord, for bringing him this far. Please stay with him.

"Mom" That's not Brandon's voice.
"Mom, Brandon is home, safe in heaven with Me now."
GOD, Thank you for my Brandon. I need You now more than ever.

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways." declares the LORD. Isaiah 55:8
