My favorite new characters of season 5 of LOST.


JACOB and Man In Black
I guess it could be argued that Jacob was introduced in season 2 when Henry Gale talked about a "great man" that was their leader. Or possibly in season 3 when he was referred to by name by Pickett saying that Jack wasn't even on Jacob's list. But since we actually met him in person this past season, I will make him my favorite new character of season 5. Man in black in any form is my second choice.

Radzinsky
I will start by saying he isn't a nice guy. But the reason I really liked the character was the fact that with his introduction in season 2 as a blood stain on the roof of the hatch, I had always thought of him as a sympathetic character. I felt bad he had been stuck in the hatch for who knows how long and what horrible circumstances had brought him there. And he felt the only way out was by taking his own life, that's so sad. But as usual with LOST, they take what we think and turn it all around.

Ilana and Bram
I think these 2 characters have a lot of potential for season 6. I like Ilana and think she has the most potential in season 6, but we'll see. I loved Ilana's introduction with Sayid and the fact that they were carrying Locke's body. So Ilana and Bram make number 4 and 5 on my list.

PHIL
Had to give an honorable mention to Phil. He was a real DI, he caused so much trouble for our Losties and seemed so harmless in the beginning. Plus he was awesome in Mad Men, but I digress.
